In spite of what several posters here recommended about absolute screen widths the WP Touch plugin/package follows my own approach which is to use percentage based widths and then embed images/videos scaling to the width.
#Artisteer mobile templates pro
WP Touch and WP Touch Pro take care of offering a mobile theme to mobile browsers and their themes are basically specialized and simplified WordPress themes using the same function calls and hierarchy.
#Artisteer mobile templates android
What is "iphone, ipad and android template", and how is it related to web design products? One approach you could more easily take on this with WordPress mobile templates is supporting the WP Touch mobile themes. it'd be nice to be able to use it for a breadcrumb (or is there an easier way to make breadcrumbs?)Ĭould someone please elaborate on what this means. I mean, we can go in an hack the css afterwards, but why should we have to? Also, please let us select from more separator characters the horizontal menu. Just allow us to make the minimum width what ever we want please. For example when creating a mobile theme you'd end up with visually not selecting anything in Artisteer, thus saying "I'm not using any web design features in my mobile template therefore why do I need Artisteer to create mobile template". Thus a theme can have some features not related to web design, while Artisteer is used for visually selecting web design elements. I think the earlier point was: why someone should use a web design product to create simple templates that do not have web design? Why do you need Artisteer for creating a simple version of your website that doesn't have a web design? Other WordPress themes can do this because they are themes, not visual web design products. That's the point and that's the reason why Artisteer should not be used for this.

The mobile site is designed to be more simpler with only the most important information being provided. Artisteer has some really nice looking templates and theme designs but doesn't completely do what I need it to do.Ī mobile version of a website is completely different than a conventional website you view on a computer monitor. So the point is that there is a huge difference between a mobile site and conventional site in terms of design, layout and functions. As far as that goes less information will also be included on those pages that you do include in both your mobile or conventional site. All pages from your conventional website most likely will not be inclulded in your mobile site. A mobile version of a website is completely different than a conventional website you view on a computer monitor. There are themes out there that don't have the design ability that Artisteer has but you can create mobile sites and facebook pages all within the same wp theme. one areĪristeer is mainly for designing the look and layout of a site or blog but lacks in the functionality department, especially when it comes to creating premium type wordpress themes. For those of you who say good smartphones will display the whole screen. Add a page, it's rendered appropriately for both types of devices. And without developing two separate websites. The idea is to give both desktop users and mobile users an experience they enjoy, and using Artisteer, to customize that so you have the appearance you want. yes, they do, but the type is tiny, or, if you stretch it to increase the size, scrolling back and forth is a pain that will lose you visitors. It would be nice to design those "alternate themes" in Artisteer for mobile, and have the system adapt, depending on the device. I use a WordPress plugin called wpTouch for that, and it works nicely with Artisteer themes. The real key is having one website for both desktop and mobile use, and having the website deliver the correct display to the appropriate device. Yes, mobile websites are going ballistic now. Hope this helps in you decision to create a version of Artisteer that can make templates optimized for mobile devices.Įvery new Smartphones can display a 1024px websites. Fonts usually a bit bigger for phones and Images would take up to 90% of the page width. also the navigation menu usually would be a vertical layout(buttons on top of one another).

I would like to create WordPress websites with both regular and mobile layouts.Ī mobile template should be around 320px(iPhone)width -right now Artisteer will not make them below 500px. Could you guys consider on making a possibility to create iphone, ipad and android templates
